December Meeting

Our December meeting was a more solemn gathering. For some of the parents it was their first Christmas without their child. Apprehension of how to handle Christmas was present in the room. Parents chatted and supported each other by listening and those who have been without their child for the last year or so could give tips on how to survive this festive season.

One of the parent shared her feeling and said that they will do what their child would have liked – still a very painful thought but it was felt that this is the least they can do.

Another mum said that she heard a saying ‘No one dies when they live on the  lips of the living’.

The parents  all felt how important it was to talk about their child and even if it would upset someone.

A reading was shared by Faye McCord – TCF, Jackson , MS

The parents received a small gift from the group – each one got an Angel sun catcher. This was very much appreciated.
